The Democratic Practice & Rule of Law
The state of our democracy has been imperfect since its inception, (Slaves and Free Persons of Color. An Act Concerning Slaves and Free Persons of Color) the laws and systems of justice have been designed on a foundation of inequality, eclipsing black people in every generation since slavery. Because of this, an urgent proactive restructure of all systems to make them equitable is required.
Unconstitutional policies and practices infiltrate governance, justice and law, and technology and have stolen the rights of the people in our democracy. The Rule of Law is defined as the principle that all people and institutions are subject to and accountable to law that is fairly applied and enforced. It is a founding principle of government and our democracy.
The Internet has become a key component of modern-day access to education and knowledge. The denial of this access due to the lack of resources has become a human rights issue. Universal access to the internet requires a policy-driven model for digital regulatory reform.
The democratic process requires that we stay engaged, remain vigilant, and hold our political leaders accountable. Voting makes the Black voice manifest. It is no wonder that the efforts to destabilize the voting process each voting year. But voting is only the first step to fully participating in the democratic process. Rectifying inequality starts with understanding how all systems, as they pertain to politics – work. Full knowledge of these systems is the next followed by full participation both on the local and federal levels. For example, independent federal agencies make decisions that impact the lives of every American. From establishing the rules that define the shape of our economy and society to enforcing the regulations that stop employment discrimination to net neutrality.

Voter access, election integrity, election security, political spending, and ethics for the three branches of government are necessary for a true democracy. An established, equitable election contingency plan that protects against barriers to voting like voter registration, voting access, and removing voters from voter rolls due to redlining.
